Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
General Services
I offer event photography, sports photography, and equine photography. My focus is on producing high-quality, consistent, and reliable images that meet the needs of each client.
In sports photography, I aim to capture key moments, movement, and the atmosphere of the event. In event photography, I document the day as it happens, including both planned moments and natural interactions. For equine photography, I work with owners to capture their horse in a calm and familiar setting, whether for portraits, action shots, or a combination of both.
Every session is planned with the client to ensure the final images are purposeful, professional, and tailored to your requirements.
What types of photography do you offer?
Payments
To book a session, please get in touch via the contact form or email. Once we have confirmed the date and details, I will send over a booking confirmation and invoice.
How do I book a session?
Yes. A deposit is required to secure your booking. The deposit amount will depend on the type of shoot and will be outlined in your invoice. Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
The remaining balance is due no later than the day of the shoot, unless otherwise agreed. For larger events or international bookings, alternative payment timelines may apply and will be discussed in advance.
When is final payment due?
I accept payment by bank transfer, PayPal, or credit or debit card. All payment details will be included in your invoice.
What payment methods do you accept?

A short session includes far more than just the time spent taking photos. It’s a complete, professional service designed to deliver high-quality results with care and attention to detail at every stage. Here’s what’s included:
Consultation
Time is set aside before the shoot to understand your goals, answer questions, and plan a session that reflects your vision.
Planning
This includes selecting suitable locations, preparing equipment, and coordinating any specific requirements to ensure everything runs smoothly on the day.
Photoshoot and Editing
Every image is carefully selected and professionally edited after the session, usually requiring a minimum of two hours of editing to produce polished, consistent results.
Image Storage
Your images are securely backed up and stored throughout the editing process and after delivery to keep your memories safe.
Delivery of Images
Final images are provided in high-resolution via a private online gallery, ready for you to download, share, or print.
Travel within 60 miles
Travel time and expenses are included for sessions within a 60-mile radius, with no additional charges for coming to you.
Each session is approached with the same level of care, professionalism, and attention to detail, no matter the duration.
Why does a short session cost £150?
Yes. If you have a specific requirement that falls outside of the standard packages, such as multi-day coverage, group sessions, or longer-term work, I can provide a tailored quote.
Do you offer custom packages?
Yes. While the standard packages provide a clear structure, some shoots require additional time or involve more complex planning. This is often the case for longer events or sessions that extend beyond the six-hour full-day rate. When this happens, additional editing time is usually required due to the larger number of images and the quality expected in the final delivery.
Custom pricing will be discussed in advance for any session that goes beyond the package limits. These conversations are a normal part of preparing for larger or more detailed projects and help ensure your requirements are met properly.
Do prices ever change based on the shoot?
Travel And International Booking
Yes, local travel is included in your session fee. Travel within a 60-mile radius from my base is fully covered at no extra cost when travelling by car. This provides flexibility for most local bookings without the need for additional charges.
If your chosen location is beyond that 60-mile radius, extra mileage is charged at 45p per mile. This follows HMRC’s standard mileage rate and fairly accounts for fuel, vehicle use, and travel time. Any additional travel costs will always be discussed and agreed in advance, so there are no surprises.
Please note that the 60-mile radius applies only to car travel. If your session takes place in London and train travel is the most efficient option, the cost of return rail tickets will be added to your invoice.
For international bookings or sessions that require air travel and overnight stays, travel arrangements such as flights and accommodation will be planned collaboratively between myself and you, the client. This allows us to find options that work for both schedules and budgets. Once agreed, the associated costs will be included in your invoice with a full breakdown provided.
The goal is to make travel planning as smooth and transparent as possible, while ensuring that everything is clearly communicated and tailored to your needs.
Are travel costs included in the package?
Do you travel for shoots outside the UK?
